We frame job descriptions at RTS as a set of problems we want to solve. We're a startup, which means we don't have all of the answers today, and like any startup, we don't know the final form of our business yet. Justin TV became Social Cam and then became Twitch - we will go through our own evolution. We do know that our business is going to be talent-focused and then defined by the products and projects we take on with our talent.

First and foremost, we want to hire people who empathize with the problems we want to solve and, secondly, are creative and talented enough to jump on board and try to solve them with us.   • How do we make creators' lives better?
    • How do they address burnout and stream/life balance?
    • How can they focus more of their time on content versus running their business?
    • How do we help filter their business ideas, pick winners and grow them?
  • How can we make creators more money?
    • How can we encourage them to engage in new revenue streams?
    • Using our resources to build and invest, what revenue products should we scope out and how do we pick the right priorities on what to build?
  • How can we grow our creators’ brands?
    • How can we use PR to grow and strengthen our creators’ brand identities?
    • How do we help them in times of brand crisis?
    • How can we empower our creators to use their platform for positive social impact?
  • How do we grow our talent management business?
    • How do we prove our value to creators?
    • What are the high-level goals we should set for creators?
    • What are the qualitative/quantitative metrics we should pay specific attention to when evaluating progress?
    • What are the steps our creators need to take for their brands to sustain ventures?
    • As we work to scale our business, which aspects of management should be standardized, versus kept bespoke per creator?

Qualifications:

The talent manager will work directly with creators, helping build a scalable structure for their business to grow so they can focus on what they do best: content. Priorities will include working to organize/improve the creator’s business, whether it be identifying inefficiencies in existing processes, finding resources to support talent endeavors, or helping filter and weigh opportunities. This is an exciting opportunity to support the best talent in this industry.

  • 4+ years of account management experience
  • Have an intimate understanding of the creator space in the gaming industry
  • Identify growth opportunities and initiatives to drive businesses
  • Track key deliverables and metrics to measure progress toward specific goals and objectives
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in an organized fashion within a dynamic environment
  • Have innate skills in communication, establishing rapport, and being relatable to creators
