As Events Manager, you will play a crucial role in the planning and execution of Evo and RTS live events globally. You will work closely with the VP of Operations to determine your role across events of varying scales and complexity. For larger flagship events like Evo Las Vegas, you may focus on specific service verticals such as Security and Public Safety. For smaller-scale events, you may take full ownership of the end-to-end planning and execution process.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in both strategic planning and hands-on execution, can operate independently, and can manage vendors, budgets, and production timelines effectively. You will collaborate with internal teams including marketing, partnerships, content, and broadcast, as well as external agencies, contractors, and venues.

Key Responsibilities:
Event Planning & Strategy
Define scope and operational strategy for events based on size, location, and audience profile
Contribute to event site design, layout, and program development
Develop scalable event frameworks that can be adapted to multiple markets
Align event operations with overall business goals and attendee experience priorities
Event Execution & Management
Lead or support operations planning across categories depending on event scale:
Broadcast: Partner with the Programming Director to coordinate technical and logistical needs
Venue Management: Serve as the primary liaison to venue staff and contractors
Public Safety:
Develop and maintain the Event Safety and Security Plan
Act as lead contact for contract security and EMT services
Oversee ADA compliance in partnership with VP of Operations
Event Communications: Develop emergency communication protocols and contact directories; establish Slack, text, or WhatsApp groups
Fan Experiences: Oversee execution of activations such as arcades, meet-and-greets, cosplay contests
Permits & Compliance: Research and acquire all necessary permits and insurance documentation
Site Planning: Collaborate on site design; training on AutoCAD or similar tools provided
Scheduling: Create or contribute to the detailed event production schedule
Vendor Management: Source and manage vendors across all infrastructure needs including:
AV, staging, internet, power, signage, fencing, seating, decor, and more
Logistics: Coordinate shipping, customs, on-site storage, and asset management
Budget & Reporting
Manage specific line items within event budgets
Track invoices and vendor payments in collaboration with finance
Identify opportunities to streamline costs and improve efficiency
Requirements:
3+ years of experience in live event operations, preferably within gaming, esports, or entertainment
Demonstrated success owning projects of varying scale
Strategic thinker who can also manage on-the-ground execution
Proficient in event management and productivity tools (e.g., Excel, AutoCAD)
Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills
Able to work autonomously and within cross-functional teams
A sense of ownership and accountability even when working remotely
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required
